For this project I wanted to create an app that would help those who had been recently diagnosed with cancer. The app would take the users through the basic knowledge of cancer and then discuss type of cancer, treatments, and also locations for different cancer centers nationally and locally.

Because of the magnitude of this type of disease I knew I had to approach the design very carefully. Probably the biggest element that was important in the design of this app was the color use. After some research on colors used in hospitals I ended choosing the olive green color that some doctors wear. Using the correct typeface was also a large consideration along with the ability to increase or decrease the size of type. The icons created were very simple and minimal. My personal experience of having cancer was not only inspiration but it also helped with the design and knowledge of the right information to be included.
