MFA Candidate Bethany Battles Wetzel presented her thesis exhibition on November 17, 2021. South 2 South: Connections in the Ordinary highlights connections between South Korea and Alabama. Inspired by her trip to Seoul in 2019, the show is a designed sensory experience to encourage travel, increase empathy, and lessen travel fears by introducing similarities between the two cultures to the people of northeast Alabama.
