MFA Candidate Taylor Weaver presented her thesis show “Where Are All the Women?” on October 28th, 2021. Her show presented an alternative museum experience by taking the existing cultural discourse on art and revealing how history and museums perpetuate the story of women as objects rather than contributors to art. Taylor created a field guide to help readers gain more of an understanding of the history of museums, the life of female artists, and how the male gaze works in art history.
